La Torre de Esteban Hambrán
ITS HISTORY
The entire territory adjacent to Alamin depended on the strength and villa in so-called Muslim period. Vanished with the reconquest of the territory, the former population, were repopulated this spot on "The Tower", already in the S.XIII is called "Stephen Hambrán."
The castle, and unpopulated forest Alamin belong in S.XV to Mitra Toledano, its neighbors come into collision with the nearby villages, including with La Torre, who earlier this century is under the lordship of Pedro Lopez de Ayala, who was bought in 1436, Alvaro de Moon. He spends the villa to be royal domain, when John II confiscates their property, after entering into the family of Mendoza. In 1477 contributes to sustaining the Holy Brotherhood of Toledo.

At present, The Tower of Esteban Hambrán has 1,500 inhabitants and one of its main sources of employment is agriculture, primarily wine production. Two of his co-operatives are encompassed in the OJ Méntrida.
WHAT TO SEE

The hermitage of Santa Ana, whose chapel was built in Gothic style and has a Renaissance altarpiece.
