Convent of the Agustinas Calzadas
|
| |
Also known as "The Convent Gaitan," dating from the fifteenth century, though its interior is very reformed. The only one ship is divided into four sections and covered by a barrel vault half, with a choir in high to toe. Emphasizes the chapel covered by a blanket impressive that reveres the monumental canvas by Francisco Rizzi, representing the Purisima Concepcion, dedicated to the church.
It is a clear example of the disappearance of expensive carved altarpieces and streamlining its structure, centered on a large table. The building is surrounded by buildings outside the convent, leaving only its free facade of the eighteenth century.
Outside is a building that has several high buildings and townhouses that are outside the convent.
