Church of San Marcos

This parish Mozarabic, abandoned for worship for many years, occupied the church's former convent Trinitarians footwear.
This great temple of three aisles separated by semicircular arches, being the central highest, belongs to first Baroque Toledo. It is the work of Jorge Manuel Theotocópuli, with the cover of John the Baptist Monegros similar, therefore the churches of St. Peter Martyr and St. Cyprian.
With the end of the second millennium, the set was remodeled and expanded by architect Ignacio Corsini Mendaro eventually to house the Municipal Archives of Toledo and Cultural Center in San Marcos, leaving the discovered remnants of the former convent. |
