Museum of El Greco

The building was erected in the early twentieth century building on an earlier sixteenth century and a Renaissance palace to gather in one space, the artist's work disperses.
The Marquis de la Vega-Inclan, who was acquired these buildings and complemented by furniture and fixtures of the sixteenth century. The museum was inaugurated in 1912. Its interior is part of the work of El Greco, which highlights a magnificent "apostolate," "View of Toledo and flat" and "Tears of St. Peter." The museum is complete with pictures of Louis Tristan, Murillo, Valdes Leal and other artists. It surrounds the building with a gallery roof on the main floor, stone columns on Ionic capital. Renaissance has two doorways giving access to the building; are stone, brick and masonry. |
