Gate of Muslim origin, heavily modified. In its present form dates from 1576, and was structured in a square based on a small inner courtyard surrounded by four towers covered by chapiteles slate.
On both sides looks covers renaissance with escutcheons, the city to the outside and the inside of Philip II. Under that there is a beautiful image of Santa Leocadia, patron saint of Toledo and this is the only door open to traffic.
Its name comes from the Cambronero, thorny shrubs that grew in the place.
